Incan prophesies foretold the arrival of the Spanish conquistadores in the late 1400s. This was the time of the fourth "pachacuti"the time of the earth turning over a time of great changewhen they predicted that the eagle would dominate the condor and drive it almost to extinction. They also foretold of a time 500 years later (the fifth pachacuti) when the Eagle of the North (the mind) and the Condor of the South (the heart) would learn to fly together in the same sky.
From this perspective, the Eagle represents the mind-over-matter stance of European and North American business. The Condor represents the heart of business. The prophesies suggest that the Eagle will learn to use its heart and the Condor will learn to use its mind. The Warrior-Visionary axis of the Eagle will integrate with the Healer-Teacher axis of the Condor.
