Fire Ceremony (individual or team):
Using a stick or twig, begin to create a fire arrow. This arrow can be decorated with anything you need to release. It can be wrapped in the pages of old policies or procedures. It can be carved with names or events. Once created, wrap clingy luminous threads of the past around the arrow. Using the breath, breathe your intention to release these old feelings, beliefs, or events into the arrow.
Then, at night, open a sacred space around a fire pit or even a barbecue grill. This can be done using prayer or by calling the four directions, father sun, and mother earth. Ask for spirit to assist you in releasing these energies of the past. Light a small fire. Anoint it with oil three times to create a friendly fire-one that wont burn you when you burn the fire arrow. Take your time, and when you are ready, bring your fire arrow to the fire. After it begins to burn, bring the smoke to your belly, heart and head.
When the fire has burned the fire arrow, releasing and transforming the energies within, you can close the sacred space with a prayer or by calling the directions again. Stay with the fire until it burns down. Do not put it out. Let it go out naturally.
